Chuva Urku - Mountain, rest and scientific research

It is located 1 hour by car, 45 minutes by canoe and 1 hour walking from Tena, in the protected primary forest. Therefore, it is highly recommended for students, adventurers and scientific research. The rooms, with views on the Cusano river, are not inside the community. It is a great place to rest, observe nature and visit sacred sites, like the cave of supernatural spirits “Supay Uktu” or the giant Ceiba tree. From the natural viewpoint of Chuva Urku, you can see the basin of the Napo river and, weather permitting, the Sumaco volcano. On the return, you can visit family houses and the Animal Rescue Center “El Amazónico”.
